About

Hello, I’m John

I have two decades of experience in graphic design and web design. My work experience and education are diverse. I’m at home carrying a project from concept to production. I have an excellent working knowledge of the Adobe Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, and CSS. And I’m proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint) and Apple Keynote. I’m comfortable in both Mac and Windows platforms. Since 2014, I’ve been an avid toy photographer.

Work Experience

I was born into a family of artists and developed my eye for design from my childhood. I entered the field of graphic design in 1994 without a formal art education beyond junior high school. I began as desktop publisher at Kinko’s. I landed my first position as graphic designer at the Philadelphia-based Crawley Haskins & Rodgers, Public Relations and Advertising. In the late 90s during the growth of the Internet, I was hired as a senior web designer at NetReach Inc. in Ambler PA. After returning to school and entering seminary, I became a graphic designer in at Philadelphia Biblical University. Later, I fulfilled a lifelong desire to teach in Japan freelance designer. Since that time I’ve been a freelance graphic designer and web designer. Now I serve as the Creative Director of the Lausanne Movement.
